Summer

Even though we have still had our fair share of cool, wet days lately, it sure has been nicer than a couple months ago. One thing I have come to appreciate in MN is the seasons. I have always said that I would have a hard time moving somewhere it was always warm or that didn't have the drastic (and they can be drastic) temperature changes. Now, I don't love the below zero days, the wind and snow, the slippery roads, and all that comes with winter. BUT, I sure do love when it is over and I can enjoy all that comes with this type of weather we are having now. Here are some of the things I look forward to every year:

sleeping with the windows open
playing outside
driving with the sunroof open (I don't think I'll ever buy another car without one)BBQs (we are having one with some friends tomorrow for Memorial Day)
the smell of fresh cut grass
swimming in our pool (it is almost ready. We opened it a little later this year because we thought we were going to have to replace the liner, but now we are going to wait)
the sun being out longer (it is so great to see it when I go to work, but it is a little hard to convince Anna she has to go to bed when it is still sunny)
outdoor baseball (hoping to get to a Twin's game soon- even if they aren't doing so well)

What else do you love?
