I really can't believe how fun it has been getting ready for the baby and seeing her get excited. She is really handling it well. I know he is not here yet, but I think she will probably do the same after. I'm sure there will be some jealous moments and acting out, but I really hope she is going to be the "helper" that she talks about being.
For a while now, she has really loved taking care of her baby and bring her with on walks etc. We got her some baby accessories- pack and play, baby seat and other things like the real baby will use. We plan to give those to her after he is born. She also got a new shirt that says BIG SISTER from someone I work with. She was soooooooooo excited and wants to wear it all the time. She reacted really well when we moved her carseat to the side and put the baby one in the car. Anna loves to put her hand on my tummy and feel the baby move. One night though he wasn't moving a lot (which is rare) and she asked why not. I said, "maybe he is sleeping." Naturally, she asked, "Does he have a pillow and blanky in there?"
Unrelated to the baby- Anna still says she wants to be a nurse when she grows up, but now it is for a different reason. She used to say that nurses save lives and give bandaids, but now, she wants to give shots!
She has been asking a lot of spiritual questions- which is neat but especially challenging when she asked what Jesus's middle name is.
Now that we have snow, she is enjoying going out and playing in it. We haven't built any forts and only one little snowman, but I am sure we will get to that. Daddy took her sledding, but like the years past, she didn't really like it that much. Oh, well!
Here is a cute picture of her in the snow from the other day.
