Perhaps your New Year's Resolution had to do with spending less or saving more. Well, here are some of my favorite free kid places to go
Open Gyms- just this morning I met a friend at the Rosemount Community Center. I believe there times are MWF 9:30-11:00. They have balls of all kinds, hula hoops or as Anna used to call them hupa loops (I miss that stage)
The library- for story time or just to play. I think the Eagan one has the most for kids
MOA for Toddler Tuesdays or the free Sat morning movies
Ikea- if your child is tall enough and potty trained, he/she can play in the play area for an hour (for free!)while you shop (or window shop if you are really trying to make it free), then every once in a while, they have free kids meals in the cafeteria upstairs.
McDonalds (ok, not entirely free- they do expect you to buy some food) or any fast food with a play place.
I realize if you are a germaphobe, many of these places will just not work for you. I used to be that way- I recall saying, "I will never let my kids play in those ball pits." Well, I do. That is what hand sanitizer and vaccinations are for.
What other free places do you like to go to?
