Back to work

Yesterday was my first day back to work in 4 months! I had one month off before Simon was born, and yep, that means, he is 3 months old already. I will be working a 0.6 which means 6 shifts/2 weeks or in my case since they are 12 hours, it will be 4 shifts/2 weeks or 2 days a week! I am so happy for that. Before I was working a 0.8 and combined a lot of the days into 16 hr shifts so that I wouldn't have to be there so long.

It was a long day although not too busy. I just don't think I am used to standing and walking for 12 hours. It sure was nice to go home at 7pm though instead of 11pm like before. I don't think I really forgot anything, and there wasn't too much to learn or figure out. Plus, my co-workers helped a lot and made it go smoothly.

My dad came to our house (like he was doing before with Anna) to watch both kids. I left him somewhat of a schedule (although Simon wasn't really following one that great before), and everything went really well! Simon actually slept and ate better than he has for me. Anna had a lot of fun having Grandpa take care of her again.

I am back again for a 12 hr tomorrow and then off until next Monday- another perk of the 2 12 hrs is I have several days off in between.

Sorry you had to go back to work, but it sounds like the perfect scenario for working.
